CAMBRIDGE, MA \u2013 May 24, 2016 \u2013 Montague Bikes,\u00a0the leader in full-size folding bikes, has launched the all-new Crosstown<\/a>, an economical multi-purpose bicycle designed to deliver a comfortable and ergonomic riding experience for seniors leading an active lifestyle. Its full-size wheels and folding design offer the perfect solution to those looking for a versatile bike that can fit easily in the car trunk or be stored in the closet at home.<\/p>\n

Well-equipped with a 7-speed Shimano drivetrain, the twist shifter and Mega-Range gearing provide easy shifting and extra low gears for hills. Wide 35mm tires and a comfort saddle offer a smooth ride, while the Crosstown’s Octagon steering system allows the handlebar height to be adjusted with just the click of a button. Raising them provides an upright riding position to reduce stress on the back and neck. Its rugged road tires are ideal for pavement and light trails, allowing riders the mobility to go wherever they desire.<\/p>\n

When folded, the bike compacts to just 36 inches wide, 28 inches high and 12 inches deep, ideal for seniors who may have downsized and have limited storage. It also weighs only 28 lbs, making it very light and portable. Taking the Crosstown to the local park or bike path is as easy as putting it in the trunk. Its industry standard components also make repairs and customizations possible at any bike shop.<\/p>\n

Like all Montague bikes, the Crosstown includes the patented DirectConnect\u2122 folding system that provides increased frame stiffness for superior ride quality, and can be folded and unfolded in less than 20 seconds. The Crosstown retails for $659.95.<\/p>\n
