MONTAGUE UNVEILS RACKSTAND\u2122: TAKES HOME EUROBIKE AWARD<\/p>\n

CAMBRIDGE,MA – Montague Bikes has introduced a revolutionary new rear bicycle rack called RackStand. The unique design allows RackStand to function as a luggage carrier, mudguard, kickstand, and work stand all in one unit. It can be fitted with panniers like a traditional rear rack, while a quick release allows it to rotate under the rear wheel on the axle mount.<\/p>\n

“We wanted to create a product that could do it all,” said Jonathan Vandenberg, Montague’s product manager. “Cyclists have long had to purchase several accessories separately; racks, fenders, and kick stands, and they’ve struggled with making drivetrain adjustments without expensive dedicated work stands. The RackStand combines all of these into one versatile product.”<\/p>\n

When in the lowered position, RackStand not only serves as a kickstand to hold up the bike, but raises the rear wheel off the ground and allows for easy adjustments to the derailleurs.<\/p>\n

Montague’s RackStand was chosen to receive a 2015 Eurobike Award, one of the leading international design awards for companies in the bike industry. Eurobike Awards are given to new product designs that exhibit a high level of innovation, functionality, quality and sustainability.<\/p>\n

“We are thrilled to have our RackStand recognized with a Eurobike Award,” said David Montague, President. “This award has always sent a clear message to the industry that these are the best new innovations of the year.”<\/p>\n

Several bike models from Montague’s 2016 line of full-size folding bikes will come equipped with the RackStand. It has additional advantages when used with a Montague where it assists in folding the bike and allows it to rest on the stand in the folded position.<\/p>\n

RackStand is compatible with any 700c, 26″, or 27.5″ wheel, and can be fitted to both quick release and bolt on axles. It is available for OE specification.<\/p>\n
